Impact at Ichthus

Has Christ impacted your life?  Who have you told about it?  Part of our DNA at Auburn Church of Christ is impacting others – to make your life about other people.  We ought to be disciples who listen to, pray for, encourage, comfort, cry with, and serve other people.  On Saturday, September 25th we have an opportunity to do all of those things – to impact others.  Ichthus Fort Wayne (a Christian music festival) is being held at Auburn Auction Park from Noon to 11pm.  What it includes:  a camp out on Friday night (which is free with your ticket).  That way our church will have a place to meet and hangout in between concerts, to fellowship, and to allow ministry to happen.  I would love to see a group of us attend together, too!  Tickets are $28/person when ordering 10 or more.  Buy two tickets and invite a non-Christian friend to attend with you!  If you are interested, please call me or sign up by September 8th.

For a list of bands (or to volunteer and get in free!) check out:  www.ichthusfortwayne.org

Playground Dedication

In memory of

Chris and Loren Madden

May 9th, 2010

The Church family gathered in front of the Playground on Mother's Day to dedicate it for God's purpose.  We are so grateful to the family of Chris and Loren Madden for making this possible.  Our prayer is that it will be used for the Kingdom of God to eternally point others to our wonderful Savior, Jesus Christ.

I am very excited to see the playground in!  We have already had our children and children from the neighborhood enjoyhing our swings and slides.  What a wonderful area for fun and play that our church family and community will be able to enjoy.  As we continue to finish this project with mulch and fence and grass seed, I think we will see a playground that we can all be proud of.

May we use it for God's glory!  - Travis
