Auburn Church of Christ began in the living room of Bill and Jeanne Butler March 12, 1972 with 5 families. In April they moved to a church building previously located at 13th and Jackson Street in Auburn. then in October, 1974 the congregation purchased the church building on Ensley Avenue. Finally in April 1982 the congregation purchased the building at our current location.
From the beginning members of the Auburn Church of Christ have upheld the ideals of Christ by focusing on Scriptural authority and unity through the life-giving grace of Jesus' death, burial and reurrection. Over the years, the church has grown from those five families to over 180 regular attending members. We have sought to be a light of the gospel within Auburn while participating in mission efforts within the United States and abroad.
We have witnessed hundreds of baptisms and look forward to God blessing us with thousands more.
